Yauco Selecto Puerto Rico
Yauco Selecto is a product of three farms - Haciendas San Pedro, Caracolillo and Santa Ana, high in the Southwestern Mountains of the U.S. Commonwealth of Puerto Rico. Elevations of 3,000 + feet above the Caribbean Sea give this coffee its distinctive character. The clay based alonso and malaya arcilloso soils nurture the beans. Over one hundred inches of rain per year make the land fertile ground for the lower yield/higher quality old style arabica trees. In a world where quantity reigns, Yauco Selecto stakes a claim for quality over volume. The end result of their efforts is a full bodied coffee with a creamy, almost buttery flavor with an arresting aftertaste and a hint of chocolate undertones that grab your attention and will not let go!
